Bowl's Annual Golf Tournament On Sale

The Texas Bowl announced today that the annual Gridiron Legends Golf Tournament is set for Monday, November 11. The Bowl will donate the net proceeds from the tournament to DePelchin Children’s Center.

The Gridiron Legends Golf Tournament will be played on the Tournament Course at The Woodlands Country Club. The tournament will be a scramble format with prizes awarded for the three lowest team score as well as closest to the pin and longest drive.

Fans may register for a foursome for $1,600, or individual players can sign up for $400. The deadline to register for the tournament is November 1. Each foursome will be grouped with a Texas sports legend. Participants in the golf tournament also receive breakfast, lunch, beverages on the course, a goody bag and a post-tournament reception. DePelchin Children’s Center was named as the Bowl’s official charitable beneficiary in 2006.  The Bowl has donated almost $600,000 to DePelchin over its five-year history, including more than $100,000 earlier this year, and has generated over $10 million in promotional support and publicity for organization.

Founded in 1892 by Kezia Payne DePelchin, the Children’s Center is the largest and most comprehensive provider of children’s social and mental health services in the Houston area. DePelchin Children’s Center serves 16,000 children and family members annually through 30 programs, including adoption, foster care, counseling and drug and alcohol prevention.
