Eddison Named Week 6 Player of the Week
Odessa RB runs for 270 yards and 5 touchdowns in 58-35 win
C.J. Eddison, a running back at Odessa High School, has been named the Week Six recipient of the Gridiron Legends Player of the Week, presented by Cavender’s and Wrangler Retro. Eddison, a senior, ran for 270 yards and five touchdowns while adding another score through the air in the Bronchos’ 58-35 victory over Lubbock Coronado. Broncho fans can also be praised for their part in this honor, as they voted often enough to make sure that Shane received the most votes in the poll on texasfootball.com.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, along with both Wrangler Retro and Cavenders, is proud to give a weekly Player of the Week award to the most deserving high schooler in the state of Texas. Every Monday at noon, TexasFootball.com will announce ten candidates for that week’s award, based on the previous week’s on-field performance. Fans can vote online at TexasFootball.com’s online poll, where you can see the current vote standings. Voting will close at noon each Friday, with the winner being announced shortly afterward. The award will be given every week through Week 14. Check this page every week to view the full list of ten candidates and the details of their most recent performance.
This season, each weekly winner will be automatically nominated for the Player of the Year award, presented with Cavenders, Wrangler Retro and the Texas Bowl. Those candidates will be announced during the playoffs, and voting for that award will continue until the end of the high school season.
