Week 8: College Football Preview

Following a stacked Week 7 college football schedule, Week 8 is a lighter schedule for the FBS division, so College Gameday is heading to Harrisonburg for the FCS rivalry between Richmond and James Madison. Richmond is undefeated in conference play and looks to break JMU’s 7-0 record.  The two FCS teams square off at 2:30 pm Saturday.

#17 Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech

#17 Oklahoma awaits a visit from Texas Tech this weekend. One Sooner in particular, Baker Mayfield welcomes the team he started for in 2013 as a Freshman. Fast forward two seasons and he has lead the Sooners to a 5-1 record averaging over 300 passing yards per game. Oklahoma looks to keep playoff hopes alive while the Red Raiders look to keep momentum from their last two consecutive wins.

#15 Texas A&M @ #24 Ole Miss

The only top 25 matchup this week belongs to the SEC as #15 ranked Texas A&M takes on #24 Ole Miss. The Rebels are coming off a Memphis loss, while the Aggies also look to bounce back from their first loss to the Crimson Tide. This game is crucial for both teams to keep their SEC title hopes alive. This SEC showdown kicks off at 7 PM in Oxford.
